Introducing Maya Shae, Ms. Black New York USA 2024, a resident of central Harlem hailing from Tallahassee, FL. Maya, a visual artist and dedicated artist educator, has left a flourishing mark on the local arts scene through her work with esteemed institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Art & Design, Paul Robeson Galleries, and Studio Institute. A proud alumna of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, Maya holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Maya’s platform, Community Building Through the Arts, reflects her devotion to the intersection of art and community. She endeavors to illuminate the transformative potential of the arts in four crucial areas including including Youth Development and
